Troy, back in the day, was a retailer for Lemania products here in Johannesburg, South Africa. They were actually the largest retailer for Lemania watches and stopwatches as most of their products in South Africa bare the name “Lemania Troy” or even just “Troy”. What makes the watch below so special is the fuzzy letters AAC, standing for Anglo American Company. This watch was specially commissioned by AAC to award to a select few of their employees for 25 years of service, shown by a personalized engraving on the solid 18k gold case. What is so special is that Lemania specially created these pieces for a company, and even put AAC in the foreground on the prime piece for real estate on the dial in gold applied letters and the name Lemania and Troy pushed to the bottom. I just think it is so cool as these pieces can only be found here in South Africa and have a deeper story that just a retailers name on the dial.
