50’s Longines Gilt Black Lacquer Dial

Description:

A small but awsome litte Logines from the early 50’s with a gilt black lacquer dial. This means that the Longines printing is actually below the lacquer and this is a very difficult process which makes them more sought after by collectors. The radium hands have left ghost hands on the dial, or another term is radium burn. The watch is housing the manual wind Longines 23 ZS movement. The watch is in fair condition with scratches and scuffs to the stainless steel case and the crown is original. The watch has been fitted with a vintage style leather strap. This is a great little addition for any Longines collector.

Dial:

The dial is glass black lacquer with gold hour marker inserts. The Hour, Minute and Seconds hands are gold in color. There is a minute track around the circumference of the dial that is gilt dots. There are a few spots of the dial that come with age.
