Omega Seamaster Calendar Ref 2849

Description:

We are offering a vintage Omega Seamaster Calendar from 1956. In a fantastic combination of a gold capped case and black lacquered dial, the watch really stands out from its brothers and sisters. Over time, the Radium and sun have aged the lacquer dial to become spotted and textured. The watch is in fair condition, with dings, buffs and scratches, unfortunately the caseback is a little worse for wear with some nasty scratches, please view images. The watch has a gold Omega crown but generic acrylic glass. We have fitted a black leather strap, which seems to fit the dial quite well.

Dial:

The dial is black lacquer in color, with guilt text. The dial has some scratches and spots. The Hour, Minute and Seconds hands are gold in color. The hour markers are gold colored applied inserts. There is a minute track around the circumference of the dial. There is a date window at 3 o’clock.
