40’s Omega Watch Ref 2348/2
Description:
A very attractive Omega Dress watch from the early 40’s with a characterful Roman numeral dial. The watch is housing the Omega Manual Wind Cal 30 T2 SC movement, and despite its age, is in fantastic condition. The overall case condition is what you’d expect from a watch that is nearly 80 years old, some scratches and marks but looks to still have the original finishing which is a bonus. The plating on the crown has worn and is unsigned. The hands are also original to the watch and although a few kinks here and there, still good condition with a gold plating and blued seconds hand. We have fitted a very suiting brown Morellato strap. This watch is ready to find a new home on someones wrist.
Dial:
The dial has aged to achieve a patina from a silver color. There is a more reflective rim around the hour markers going around the circumference of the dial. There is some dial degradation on the right side by the crown. The hour markers are Roman numerals and gold domes intermittently placed. The Hour and Minute hands are gold plated and the Seconds hand is blued steel. The seconds track runs on the inner circumference of the dial.
