Vintage Nivada Antarctic Sea Diver

Description:

A well aged Nivada Antarctic Sea Diver from the 60’s. The watch has been scorched from the African sun and given the watch a ghost aluminium bezel insert and aged dial & hands. The Nivada is housing the very robust ETA 2472 Automatic movement with the instantaneous date jump. The case is in fair condition for its age with a few dings and scratches, which is to be expected. The crown is unsigned. We have fitted the watch with a vintage inspired Morellato strap to keep the watch in that rustic vibe. This is a fantastic piece if you’re into divers are collectors of the Nivada Antarctic models.

Dial:

The dial used to be pure grey with a sunburst finish but has aged to have a slightly greenish hue. The dial is also not perfect by any means, there spots and some aging around the edges. The Hour and Minute hands are silver in color with very aged lume. The Seconds hand is silver in color and although the correct length, I don’t believe to be original. There are applied markers for 12, 6 and 9 o’clock and a date window at 3 o’clock. The other hour markers are indicated with rectangular blobs of lume.
